NSS Organises Cleanliness Week
Jalandhar, October 14, 2023: The students of NSS wing observed Cleanliness Week in the college by participating in the programme 'Swachhata Hi Seva' run by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The NSS volunteers enthusiastically cleaned the college staff room, library, computer labs etc. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra, added that through such programmes, students understand their responsibilities towards the society and the country and also experience the feeling of being emotionally connected with their country.
ACFA celebrated Founder's Day
Jalandhar, October 04, 2023: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated 104th Birth Anniversary of Dr Stya Paul, Founder Chairman, Apeejay Education. On this auspicious occasion, a message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia (Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University) was read out by the Principal. A Cultural programme was organised wherein the students of Department of Music sang melodious bhajans and also melodious tunes in Raga Pahari on Sitar was played, along with tabla. The names of recipients of Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values were also announced on the occasion. The awards went to Gursahib Singh Thind of BA (Semester V) and Rajat of B. Com. (Semester V).
Faculty completed online courses offered on the Government Portal
Jalandhar, October 12, 2023: Recently, the faculty members of ACFA joined online courses offered at SWAYAM NPTEL which is a governmental portal that provides quality education to anyone interested in learning from the expert professors of IITs. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated all the teachers who had completed their respective courses with flying marks.
Student Shines in Classical Music
Jalandhar, October 11, 2023: Our student Tanishq Arora of B.A. (Semester III) recently participated in the 3rd Hindustani Classical and Semi-Classical Online Music Competition. She secured the covetous First position with his melodious and incredible performance. With his outstanding performance, he also became eligible to perform as an artist in Classical music at KBR Music Festival i.e. to be held in January 2024. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated Tanishq Arora for his achievement and encouraged him to keep up with the good work and touch even greater heights.
Students excel in the University examinations
Jalandhar, October 03, 2023: Students of ACFA excelled in the final exams conducted by by Guru Nanak Dev University. Rajat, a student of B.Com. (Semester IV) secured the16th position, Dyumna Aggarwal secured 17th position, Diksha Bhutani bagged 22nd position and Yukti Gandhi secured 43rd position. The Principal congratulated the students and motivated them to work harder.
Investiture Ceremony of IT Forum
Jalandhar, October 10, 2023: The IT Forum held an Investiture Ceremony for its members. The motto of this forum is to give enough platforms to the students where they learn responsibility, team spirit, the importance of discipline, leadership, organisational and management skills. The students from various streams who proved their skills and were reliable were given the important designations. All the members were honoured with badges by Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra and the faculty members of Computer Science.
Industrial Visit for BBA students
Jalandhar, September 29, 2023:The students of Bachelor of Business Administration (Semester I) of PG Department of Commerce & Management went for industrial visit to Verka Plant in Jalandhar for learning and exploring the industrial set-up. The students learnt about the production process of dairy products - milk, butter, ghee and cream in Verka Plant and also, they acquired knowledge about packaging and marketing of multiple products. The students remained engaged with great enthusiasm and zeal to get information about the entire process.
Student Achievement
Jalandhar, October 06, 2023: Akshat Sharma a student of BA (Semester I) performed at the district level in 10m air pistol shooting in 'Kheda Watan Punjab Diya' - Khed Mela organised by Government of Punjab and bagged the Second position. He was honoured with silver medal for his excellent performance. Also, with this he became eligible to play at State level. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra while congratulating Akshat Sharma motivated him to keep up with the good work.
Workshop on Skin and Hair Care
Jalandhar, September 26,2023: A one-day workshop on 'Skin and Hair Care' was organised by the Department of Fashion Makeover and Home Science at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. Dr Amanpreet Singh, Cosmetic Surgeon was present as a keynote speaker in this workshop. Dr Singh introduced the students with the importance of sun protection creams and described in details the skin related problems. Dr Amanpreet also discussed with students about non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
Students Shines in University Examination
Jalandhar, September 25, 2023: In a remarkable achievement, students from the PG Department of B-Design Multimedia at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, excelled in the final examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University, securing top positions and bringing honor to their college and parents. Jasmeet Kaur secured the first position, Chirag secured the eighth position and Mamta secured the ninth position. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra commended the students and encouraged them to persist in their efforts.

National Service Scheme Day
Jalandhar, September 24, 2023: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed NSS day. On this day, the NSS wing of the college visited the village Bajra and dedicated the day to create awareness on environment protection. The NSS volunteers presented a street play and recited poems amongst the locals present there. They also spread the message of not practicing stubble - burning which is a common practice amongst the farmers. The NSS team of ACFA gave plants to Mr Avinash (Sarpanch of village Bajra) to distribute amongst the villagers to add greenery in their surroundings and respect the nature.
Poster Making Competition
Jalandhar, September 09, 2023: A poster making competition was organised by the IT Forum of PG Department of Computer Science on various IT related topics like Cloud, Social Media, Cyber Security and Data Mining in which students of 15 teams from all the departments of the college participated with enthusiasm. In this competition, Noshi and Simarjeet stood first, Rajat and Vanshika stood second, Angel and Shivanshi stood third and Ashmeet, Tia, Tanisha and Tamanna got the consolation prizes. World Tourism Day Celebration
Jalandhar, October 05, 2023: The PG Department of Applied Art and Heritage Club jointly celebrated World Tourism Day. On this day, various competitions were organised to engage the students that also give them a platform to explore. The competitions were - reel making, poster making, photography, tape a tale and treasure hunt. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra applauded the efforts of the teachers of the Department of Applied Art and Heritage Club for making the programme a success.

Jalandhar, September 23, 2023: The SWA - Student Welfare Association of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar held Investiture Ceremony for its core members, incharges and co-incharges of various Committees and all the members of SWA. The appointed members were honoured with badges by Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra, Dr Jagmohan Maggo and Dr Payal Arora. All the students took the oath to be true to themselves, their college and fellow mates and show dedication & sincerity in every task.
