Faculty’s artwork displayed at the 63rd National Art Exhibition
Jalandhar, September 22, 2023: The campus of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar is adorned with veteran artists whose artworks make their mark at the national level. In this series, the sculpture 'Silent Mystery' created by Professor of Sculpture Department, Shri Basudev Biswas, was selected for the 63rd National Art Exhibition organiaed by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi where he represented the artists of Punjab. In this art exhibition, 5700 artworks were received from all over the country, out of which only 297 artworks were selected for the exhibition. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated Shri Biswas on his brilliant achievement.
Students of ACFA Triumphed in University Examinations
Jalandhar, September 18, 2023: The students of B.D. (Semester II) of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, have made their mark in the final examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. They have brought honor to the college and their families by achieving outstanding positions. Aashi Jain bagged the second position, Anmolpreet Kaur secured the fifth position, Ribhav Batra secured the ninth position, Priya Kumari secured the tenth position and Devanshi Malhotra secured the thirteenth position. Hindi Diwas Celebrations
Jalandhar, September 20, 2023: Hindi Diwas was organised by the Department of Hindi at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar in collaboration with Punjab National Bank, Jalandhar. Hindi Week has been organised in the college from 14th to 20th September in which competitions - Essay Writing, Poetry Recitation, Keh Tu Ek Kahani, Debate writing and Portrait making on Hindi poets. The winners were awarded with certificates and mementos.
Doordarshan Day Celebrations
Jalandhar, September 16, 2023: The 64th 'Doordarshan Day' was celebrated by the Department of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. On this occasion, various activities like News Reading in Hindi and English, Quiz, Ad Mad Show and Personality Reflection were organised in which students of various departments of the college participated with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated all the winners and honored them with certificates.
Fun with Math Activity
Jalandhar, September 19, 2023: A Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic 'Fun with Math' was organised by the Department of Mathematics at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar for the students of BCA, B. Voc. Data Science and BSc Economics. Students presented on the topics like - Vedic Mathematics, Unveiling the Efficiency and Simplicity of Ancient Mathematics, Concept of Golden Ratio and many more. Principal Dr Dhingra congratulated the winners and honoured them with certificates.
B.D. students secure top ranks
Jalandhar, September 15, 2023: The students of B.D. Semester VI of our College have made a significant mark in the final university exams conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. They have achieved top positions, bringing pride to their college. Kanishka Kharbanda secured the 4th position, Nandini Arora secured the 8th position and Manraj Kaur claimed the 10th position. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue their hard work, illuminating their parents' and college's name and striving for future success.
ACFA students excel at University Exams
Jalandhar, September 14, 2023: Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, have established their dominance by securing eight out of the top ten positions in the eighth semester of B-Design examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. Danish Jain claimed the first position, followed by Bhanvi Sharma, Akshita Jain and Anshika Paul securing the second, third and fourth positions respectively. Khushi's outstanding score placed her sixth, Sirjan Kathuria secured seventh, Avneet Kaur claimed the ninth position and Kavya Singla secured the tenth position.
ACFA organises 'Mehfil-e-Economics'
Jalandhar, September 13, 2023: The Economic Forum of the college organised 'Mehfil-e-Economics' with a goal to introduce the students with the factual knowledge of economics but in an entertaining way. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra while presenting her views about this event said that Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia (Chairperson, Apeejay Education) is always a source of inspiration for us. The students recited poems that were an expression of the emotions using jargons of economics. They also presented a street play on the basic issues that are prevalent in Punjab and all over India.
ACFA Organises Blood Donation Camp
Jalandhar, August 11, 2023: In keeping with its noble commitment, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, under the aegis of Apeejay Education, organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Punjab Kesari newspaper. More than 35 College students and faculty members of ACFA enthusiastically participated in the venture and donated blood. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of the Physiotherapy Department and thanked the donors.
World Physiotherapy Day
Jalandhar, September 11, 2023: The Department of Physiotherapy of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed 'World Physiotherapy Day' under the aegis of Apeejay Education. The Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra, while expressing her views on this occasion, said that Mrs Sushma Paul Barlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, always inspires them to organise activities that are meant for the all-round development of the students apart from the curriculum and involving students to participate actively inculcates sense of responsibility in them.
The students also learnt about multifarious ways to stay healthy and always prioritise their health while making yoga, exercise and meditation the part of their health. Poster making competition was organised by the department in which Jasleen and Nitika Dheer of fourth year students grabbed the covetous first position, Karamjit Kaur of second year clinched second position and Harpreet Kaur of second year grabbed third position.

ACFA observed 'World Suicide Prevention Day'
Jalandhar, September 10, 2023: The Psychology Forum observed World Suicide Prevention Day wherein a one-day workshop was organised titled 'Interventions and Strategies for Suicide Prevention'. Ms Damini Tiwari, Deputy Counselling Psychologist from Lovely Professional University, was present as a keynote speaker in this workshop. Also, a poster making competition was conducted in which Ahana secured the first position, Gursimran and Diya Talwar bagged the second position and Tamanna Mahajan got the third position.
Talent Hunt programme for freshers
Jalandhar, September 09, 2023: A two-day Talent Hunt, a platform for freshers to showcase their talents, was organised at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. More than 250 students from different departments of the college participated. On the first day competitions such as Poetry Recitation, Extempore Speech, Debate, Elocution, Anchoring, Cartooning, Collage-making, Clay-modelling etc. were conducted. The students brilliantly performed in these competitions and the first three position holders were given certificates and prizes. The second day comprised of the stage items as - Music Vocal, Music Instrumental, Theatre and Dance.
Music students attend a session on Gurmat Sangeet
Jalandhar, September 04, 2023: The Department of Music Vocal provided an opportunity to the students to know the nuances of Gurmat Sangeet by inviting Bhai Gurmeet Singh "Shant" ji as a resource person. This renowned artist is a name to reckon with in Gurmati Sangeet both nationally and internationally. Students of the music department gave several presentations of devotional music and folk music before him to get his valuable feedback. This interactive session was invaluable as far as the honing the talent of students was concerned.
Guest Lecture ‘How to crack competitive exams’
Jalandhar, September 03, 2023: Recently, a guest lecture on the topic 'How to crack competitive exams' was organised by the PG Department of Commerce and Management, in which Ashutosh Chibber, alumnus of the college, MBA from IIM Raipur was present as a source speaker. Ashutosh Chhibber is currently working as Area Sales Manager in Pidilite Industry (Fevicol Division). He discussed various aspects and shared tips on cracking such examinations.
