Students secure top positions in university examination
Jalandhar, March 30, 2024: The students of B. Voc. (Beauty Culture and Cosmetology) Semester III performed well in the University examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. Himani bagged 2nd position, Gungun Verma stood 3rd and Jyoti secured 8th position. The Principal congratulated the students and wished them luck to move ahead on the path of progress in the future too and made their college and parents proud.
World Theater Day
Jalandhar, March 27, 2024: The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication observed 'World Theater Day.' A monologue competition was organised in which students showcased their talent by reciting their favourite dialogues from their favorite movies. In this competition, Nidhaan Jain (BJMC, Sem. VI) stood first, Diksha Nayyar (BJMC, Sem. VI) and Gursimran Singh (BJMC, Sem. II) stood second while the third position was secured by Hargunpreet Singh (BJMC, Sem. VI) and Rohan Singh (BJMC, Sem. II). The Principal congratulated all the winners.
Students shine at university examination
Jalandhar, March 28, 2024: The students of B. Voc. Beauty & Wellness (Semester V) made the college proud by securing top positions in Final examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. The students grabbed 6 top positions out of 10 in University exams. Riti Ahuja secured the second place, Anshita bagged the third position, Prerna Sharma stood fourth, Jeeya stood sixth, Khushi and Jashanpreet stood eighth and Riddhima Arora secured the tenth position. Congratulations to all the students.
ACFA Empowers Students with Voter Awareness Campaign
Jalandhar, March 24, 2024: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised various SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) activities in collaboration with the District Election Commission, Jalandhar, to raise awareness among students about their voting rights. On the first day, under the guidance of Dr Rekha, Nodal Officer and Dr Simkee, Dean, NSS Wing, a permanent help desk was set up to help students understand the significance of voter ID card registration and voting. The second day witnessed initiatives to educate students about the importance of voting and its impact on outcomes. They were informed that often a single vote can determine victory or defeat. Posters with the theme 'My Vote, My Right' were created by college students and selfie points were set-up across the college premises to raise awareness about the importance of voting.
2nd Annual State Art Exhibition
Jalandhar, March 22, 2024: The 2nd Annual State Art Exhibition 2024 was inaugurated with the joint efforts of Apeejay Education, Jalandhar and Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar. Apeejay Education, Jalandhar, following the footsteps of Dr Stya Paul ji (the inspiration behind all Apeejay Education institutions) and Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia (President, Apeejay Education) is continuously striving to realise its motto of preserving and promoting fine arts and making them accessible to the masses.
Expressing her views at the Inaugural Ceremony, Dr Sucharita (Director, Apeejay Education, Jalandhar) said that the objective of this Art Exhibition is to provide a platform to the budding artists to showcase their talent.
Artworks of expert artists of the field were invited in which 160 artworks from different parts of the state of Punjab were received. The jury members - Dr Jaspal's and Mr Basudev Biswas selected 78 artworks for the exhibition at Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar.
In this 2nd state level Art exhibition, the best art works are rewarded. Mrs Guranjan Pal won the first prize along with Dr Stya Paul Award of Rs. 21,000 for her painting - Chanting. Second prize was awarded to Jalandhar based artist Sukhwinder Singh for his painting 'Sparrow's Feast' and cash prize of Rs. 11, 000 sponsored by Mr Vivek Sondhi (PKF, Joint Managing Director). The third prize was given to Loveleen Verma for her sculpture 'Verma on Web' along with the cash prize of Rs. 7000 which was sponsored by Major General Balwinder Singh, Convener, INTACH. All the artists participating in this art exhibition were honored with certificates.
ACFA observes Martyrs Day
Jalandhar, March 23, 2024: The NSS Wing and Department of Social Sciences of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised various activities on the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh to acquaint students with important aspects of his life. On this occasion, students of various departments of the college made posters based on the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Students - Sandeep and Deeksha introduced the students to the various achievements of the life of Bhagat Singh and the student- Gursimran recited a poem.
Annual Athletic Meet
Jalandhar, March 15, 2024: The Annual Athlete Meet 2024 was organised by the Department of Physical Education at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The Principal inaugurated the athletic meet by releasing balloons. Addressing the august gathering, the Principal said that taking inspiration from the values and ethics of Dr Stya Paul Ji, Inspiration behind all Apeejay Education institutions and the able guidance of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education, our college relentlessly works for the all-round development of the students.
Athletic Meet is organised to foster the feelings of sacrifice, team spirit and co-operation which are essential life skills. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education, GNDU, Guru Nanak Dev; Dean, Faculty of Physical Education and Incharge of the Youth Welfare Department, was present as the Chief Guest.
In the Athletic meet, 100 and 200 meters races for both boys and girls, 400 meters race for boys, long jump for boys and girls, shortcut for boys and girls, tug of war for boys and girls, three leg race for boys and girls, 400 meters relay race for boys and girls were conducted. Also, for college staff, 100 meters race, three-leg race and tug of war and 400 meters relay races were organised.
Students attend workshop
Jalandhar, March 21, 2024: A two day workshop on 'Hair Colouring and Rebonding' was organised at Tanveer Salon Jalandhar for the students of Beauty Culture and Cosmetology (Semester IV), Department of Fashion Makeover, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The students learnt in details about the hair colour and rebonding and how important it is to have detailed knowledge of the client's scalp and hair and for this, knowledge of professional brands is also crucial. They also learnt detailed information about hair rebonding and the after- care.
Student shines at University Examination
Jalandhar, March 19, 2024: Stuti Kharbanda, a student of BBA (Semester – III) of PG Department of Commerce and Management secured the First position in the University examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University and made her college and parents proud. Archa, Tanisha and Kashish Kohli also bagged the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh University positions respectively. The Principal congratulated the students and wished them luck for the next academic exams and encouraged them to keep working hard.
Inter-Departmental Apeejay Basketball League
Jalandhar, March 18, 2024: Inter-Departmental Apeejay Basketball League matches were organised by the Department of Physical Education of ACFA. The students were divided into four teams namely Titans, Eagles, Predators and Warriors. After tough competition, students of Warriors team - Ranbir Kalsi, Ribhav Batra, Vanshaj Sehgal, Abhay Kumar, Saksham Arora, Himanshu Silara and Shivansh Dua bagged the First position and players of team Eagles secured the Second position. Industrial Visit
Jalandhar, March 14, 2024: ACFA regularly arranges industrial visits for the students to give them exposure to the practical makings of the goods. As many as 40 students of PG Department of Commerce and Management visited Sheetal Industry. During this visit, the students learnt about the production process of Shital Industry and also about internal auditing, maintenance of account books and payroll handlings. Officials of Sheetal Industries also proposed internship and employment opportunities for the students. They also learnt about the retail outlets of Sheetal Industries.

Jalandhar, March 13, 2024: The students of MA Fine Arts (Semester III) performed brilliantly in the final examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University and established their dominance by securing 9 out of first 10 positions. Vibhuti Sharma bagged the First position in University, Simran secured the Second place and Nandini received the Third position. Also, Harmanjeet Singh, Dhriti Jain, Ranjana Rana, Jaspreet Kaur, Neha and Ambika Aggarwal bagged 4th , 5th , 6th , 7th , 8th and 10th position respectively. The Principal congratulated the students and their parents and wished them a bright future and encouraged them to keep working hard.
Educational excursion for students of Fashion Makeover
Jalandhar, March 11, 2024: The students of B. Voc. (Beauty Culture and Cosmetology) Semester II visited the Anthea Salon to learn the hydra facial technique under electrotherapy facial treatment. They learnt about the types of skins, their requirements and more importantly when a facial is required. The students learnt the steps of doing a facial. Also, they learnt about the new procedures of facials that are done by machines. Apart from this, the students were also given information about Salon Range products and professional facial brands.
International Women's Day Celebration
Jalandhar, March 07, 2024: On the eve of International Women's Day, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar in collaboration with Rajeshwari Kala Sangam celebrated and saluted the women power and dedicated the day to honour Smt Rajeshwari Paul ji.
Mrs Sushma Pal Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, Chairman of Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, is a great source of inspiration for women in this modern era. She has won so many awards and accolades in the education and business that she has become a source of inspiration to the womenkind in so many ways. Also, with her excellent leadership and farsightedness, she has taken the Apeejay Education institutions to heights of excellence. Dr Neha Berlia, Joint Secretary, Apeejay Education, Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University and Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group is also an inspiration vis-à-vis women leadership.
The Women's Day celebrations begin with the documentary titled - Leader of the Journey. It showcased the life journey of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia in her many roles which she plays successfully.
Dr Sucharita, Director, Apeejay Education, Jalandhar who was warmly welcomed in these celebrations expressing her views on the significance of celebrating International Women's Day, said, “Our aim is to create awareness amongst the students about the significance of women empowerment." She also showered words of admiration and praise for her own ideal, role mentor and a true guide - Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia.
The highlight was a mesmerising Kathak performance by Vidha Lal, a multifaceted Kathak exponent of Jaipur Gharana and a recipient of numerous accolades, whose grace and elegance captivated the audience. ACFA's dance department students also impressed with a choreography depicting women's roles with finesse.
