Student bags gold medal in Basketball
Jalandhar, February 09, 2024: We are proud to share that our student Ranbir Kalsi of BBA (Semester IV) won the gold medal in Basketball at the District level in 'Kheda Watan Punjab Diya'. It was organised by the Punjab Government. He will now represent Punjab at the state level. Heartiest congratulations to Ranbir!
Three-Day Dance Workshop
Jalandhar, February 19, 2024: A three-day dance workshop was organised by the PG Department of Dance at ACFA. Internationally renowned Kathak dancer Shri Dheerendra Tiwari was present in this dance workshop as the Resource Person. Shri Tiwari provided riyaz to the students by giving them training through Bandishs and also gave them information about the ancient Bandish of Jaipur Gharana.
National Seminar on 'One Nation One Election'
Jalandhar, February 17, 2024: A one-day national seminar was organised by the School of Social Sciences, ACFA in joint collaboration with "Indian Council of Social Sciences Research North West Region Chandigarh" (ICSSR). Dr Sanjay Kaushik, Director of the Indian Council of Social Sciences Research, was present as a Chief Guest in this seminar. The National Seminar explored themes such as consensual decision-making and federalism, electoral processes its challenges and the adaptability of the Indian constitution. Diverse topics including media impact, the Women Reservation Bill and the economy's response to unified elections were covered, reflecting the broad scope of the seminar's discussions.
Spring festival celebration
Jalandhar, February 14, 2024: The students of B. Voc. Contemporary of Dance of ACFA celebrated Spring with much joy and enthusiasm and paid homage to Maa Saraswati. The Principal said that such events are organised to keep the students connected with their culture, to develop values in them and to make them aware of the importance of festivals. She said that it is not just a festival of spring, but it is a festival of transmission of energy, beauty and nature. The students sang hymns in praise of Maa Saraswati.
Investiture Ceremony
Jalandhar, February 15, 2024: The MAC Forum of PG Department of Commerce organised an Investiture Ceremony in which students having leadership potential were given badges as per their merit. Angel Sharma, President and Rajat, Vice President, MAC forum warmly welcomed the Principal and expressed their gratitude for trusting them with the responsibility.They added they look forward to conducting and participating in the activities and will also encourage other students to participate. All the elected students were awarded with badges.
Our student represented Jalandhar in a cricket tournament
Jalandhar, February 12, 2024: The students of ACFA continue to showcase their talent in academic and cultural activities as well as in the sports field. Mridul Sandal, a student of BBA (Semester-IV), represented Jalandhar in the Under-23 cricket team and also showcased his talent by representing Jalandhar in the Hampton Falcons Sher-e-Punjab T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by the Punjab Cricket Association. The Principal congratulated Mridul Sandal on his achievement.
World Radio Day
Jalandhar, February 13, 2024: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed World Radio Day. On this occasion, students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication visited the office of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM and learnt about the technical details and the process of live presentation on radio. The students were divided into small sections and the RJs gave detailed information about the technical aspects that go into the background of a radio presentation and told them how to speak on the mic while doing a programme on the radio. They also taught them about the clarity of voice and handling the mic.
Apeejay Premier League Cricket
Jalandhar, February 10, 2024:Apeejay Premier League cricket match was organised jointly by Student Welfare Association and Department of Physical Education for three days at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar in which students of all departments of the college participated with great enthusiasm. The team 'Tough Ones' comprising Akshat Sharma, Ansh Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Mannat, Mohit, Pranav, Rishabh and Saksham performed brilliantly and won the trophy. The team Titans' became the First runner-up and the team 'Warriors' became the Second runner-up. The Best Batsman award was given to Mohit Mahey, the Best Bowler award to Azar Randhawa and Mohit Mahey was also declared Player of the Tournament.

Jalandhar, February 08, 2024: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar won the Second position in an Inter-College Kabaddi match organised by Guru Nanak Dev University. The Principal congratulated the students and motivated them to keep up the good work.

Jalandhar, February 03, 2024: An inter-college Rangoli and Poster making competition was organised on the occasion of 'Voters’ Day.' Students from various colleges in Jalandhar participated in this competition to make the general public and students aware of voting and its importance. The winners were honoured with certificates.
Educational Excursion
Jalandhar, February 05, 2024: On the occasion of World Wetlands Day, ACFA organised an educational tour for the students of Journalism and Mass Communication to Harike Pattan in collaboration with Pahal NGO. The initiative aimed to provide extensive knowledge about various species inhabiting wetlands and educate students on sculpting an eco-friendly environment. During the educational tour, students actively engaged with environmental experts, learning about the importance of wetlands and their role in maintaining biodiversity. The experience included hands-on activities, guided discussions, and interactive sessions towards environmental conservation.
Two-day Psychology Fiesta
Jalandhar, February 02, 2024: The Department of Psychology of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a 2-day Psychology Fiesta to create general awareness about Mental Health among youth. Quiz related to psychology, poster-making on topics related to mental health and open mic competitions were organised for all the students of the college. The students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal in it. Also, various psychological tests were conducted. The Principal honoured the winning students by giving them certificates and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Psychology.
Discussion on Budget 2024
Jalandhar, February 01, 2024: The Department of Economics organised a discussion on Budget 2024 at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. A live telecast of the Budget 2024 was shown to the students in order to make them aware of the important aspects of it. This initiative was taken by 'Economics Forum' of the Department of Economics. The students also raised their queries regarding Budget 2024, which were answered satisfactorily by the teachers of Department of Economics.
