Personality development programme
The P.G. Department of Commerce and Management organised a Personality Development Programme for the overall development of the students. Students enthusiastically participated in Group Discussion, Mental Aptitude and Puzzle games, etc. Students also shared their enlightened views on the topic ‘Make in India V/s Made in India’ in group discussion. They got acquainted with various awareness programmes being run by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mental Aptitude and puzzle games extended the horizons of their thoughts through various mind blowing exercises.

Lecture on new innovations in architectural material
The Department of Design organised a lecture titled ‘New Innovations in the Architectural Material’ delivered by Mr. Thakur Udayveer Singh, a practising Architect in Jalandhar who has recently been awarded the ‘Most Innovative Principal Young Architect of Punjab’ by Prime Time Media. The lecture was supported by technical presentations given by various consultants of companies like Schneider, Kohler and Duro on the new principles of Home Automation, hygienic sanitary use and fixing of termite proof wooden flooring.
The lecture covered the totality of the constructional materials and fixtures in the market from evolution to the innovation in the design forms. The Architect also highlighted the importance of professionalism, discipline, punctuality, ethics and honesty in the profession. He focused on how being professional would provide the students with a foundation in ethical reasoning & decision making that would help them about their rights and duties. The lecture motivated the students to create designs that are not only aesthetically appealing but also functional and innovative. Students from Interior Design actively participated and interacted with the professionals.
Guru Purnima Celebration
The College celebrated Guru Purnima in the College premises wherein Principal Dr. Sucharita enlightened all the students about the role of a teacher or guru in the life of a person. She said only with the true guidance of gurus, we can achieve heights in the respective fields while struggling hard to earn perfectness in our skills. She also said our holy scriptures have placed the importance of Guru near to the almighty.
On this occasion, Dr. Vivek Verma, Assistant Prof., Department of Music (Vocal), addressed the gathering and explained the role of a teacher in a student’s life. Students from the departments of Dance and Music also mesmerized the audience with their splendid performances. In this programme, the National Youth Festival winner, Sunny, won the hearts of many by giving his intoxicating performance on Sarangi. Students also presented a theatre item, poetry and Kathak Dance on this occasion.
