Sahil Kumar, student of MA – Fine Arts (Semester 4th) from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar brought laurels to the institution by securing top position in the final examinations conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). He achieved the prestigious first position in the university with 180 grade points and an SGPA of 9.00.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated him and his parents, commending his dedication and hard work. She also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Rimpy Parmar, Head, Department of Fine Arts and Dr. Jeevan Kumari for her valuable guidance and mentorship in shaping the students' academic success.

The grand opening of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Rajeshwari Kala Sangam and Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, along with the inauguration of the 6th Rajeshwari Kala Mahotsav, showcased the splendor and grandeur of art at its finest. The event was graced by His Excellency Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, who honored the occasion as the Chief Guest.

This momentous occasion was presided over by esteemed Madam Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education; Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group; Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-owner and Director (Family Business Board) – Apeejay Stya and Svran Group; Lead - Education Vertical; Pro-Chancellor – Apeejay Stya University).

On the auspicious occasion of the Golden Jubilee, special and unique workshops on vanishing art forms such as Warli Art, Gond Art, Miniature Painting, Madhubani Painting, Kharar Weaving, Pipli, Pottery, Terracotta, Sculpture, Block Printing, Wood Carving, and Wood Inlay were inaugurated in the morning. During this inauguration, Mr. Swarnjit Savi, President of Punjab Arts Council, Chandigarh, and an alumnus of the college, was present as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Vijay Sharma, a Pahari miniature artist, art historian, and recipient of the Padma Shri award, was present as the Guest of Honour.

His Excellency Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, and Dr. Neha Berlia inaugurated a majestic installation conceptualized by Mr. Basudev Biswas, Former Head of the Department of Sculpture, symbolizing the journey of Rajeshwari Kala Sangam (RKS) and Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA). This remarkable piece of art vividly encapsulates the institutions’ legacy of creativity and innovation.

His Excellency also visited the unique Art and Craft Mela, where craftsmen from various states, set up stalls. He thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition and remarked, \"Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia and Dr. Neha Berlia have created a mini-India under one roof.\"

In the presence of distinguished guests, Madam Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia dedicated the Rajeshwari Stya Auditorium to her worthy parents - Dr. Stya Paul Ji and Rajeshwari Paul Ji.

The cultural event commenced with the lighting of the holy flame and the recitation of sacred Sanskrit verses seeking divine blessings. The students of the Department of Music performed a melodious and beautiful rendition of 'Mangal Geet' to welcome the guests.

Esteemed Madam Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia addressed the gathering, first welcoming the Hon'ble Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria and admiring his humility and love for art. Reflecting on Founder Chairman and her father, Dr. Stya Paul Ji, she said, \"He was a visionary who conceptualized the idea of establishing a unique institution in Jalandhar that would provide a holistic education, nurture fine arts, and preserve India’s rich heritage.\"

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, a captivating dance drama, 'Krishnam,' based on the life of Lord Krishna, was performed, inspiring the audience with spirituality. The event also featured the release of the Apeejay Stya Art Archive Catalogue by Hon'ble Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, and Dr. Neha Berlia. Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia and Dr. Neha Berlia honored the Hon'ble Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria with a memento as a token of remembrance and gratitude.

His Excellency Shri Gulab Chand Kataria addressed the gathering, stating, \"Apeejay College stands as a prime example of how one person's sacrifice, dedication, grit, strong willpower, and vision can pave the way for success and provide a thriving platform for art and culture.\" He congratulated everyone on this momentous occasion and expressed his joy at being part of the celebrations.

Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar under aegis of Apeejay Education, is set to commemorate its Golden Jubilee alongside the Sixth Rajeshwari Kala Mahotsav from April 2 to April 5, 2025. This grand celebration of art & culture will showcase a diverse spectrum of artistic traditions while honouring the institution’s 50-year legacy.

Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, and Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman of Apeejay Education as well as Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, will inaugurate the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the college is hosting an exclusive exhibition featuring works of renowned artists, an inter-state craft fair, and a five-day workshop to connect young artists with India’s vanishing art traditions. Renowned folk singer, Mrs. Malini Awasthi, will also perform. Rajeshwari Kala Mahotsav aims to revive and promote India’s rich artistic heritage. This year, it will feature celebrated artists from across India.

The IT Forum of PG Department of Computer Science at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, successfully organised a one-day workshop on Power BI, a leading business analytics tool by Microsoft.

Mr. Gagandeep Singh, Co-founder and Data Analyst at AOSC Technology, served as the resource speaker for the session. He provided an in-depth introduction to Power BI, highlighting its role in business analytics, data visualization, and interactive reporting. He demonstrated how organizations leverage Power BI to gain deeper insights into data.

A total of 50 students from the IT Forum actively participated in the hands-on training, engaging in insightful discussions and posing queries, which Mr. Singh addressed efficiently. The workshop concluded on a high note, leaving students with enhanced skills and a deeper understanding of Power BI’s practical applications.

The Psychology Department of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, observed ‘World Down Syndrome Day’ to raise awareness and to foster sensitivity toward individuals with Down Syndrome. The event featured Ms. Damini Tiwari and Ms. Tanya, counseling psychologists, as resource speakers. The students of the Psychology Department actively engaged in the session.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, addressing the students, highlighted that the United Nations General Assembly declared March 21 as World Down Syndrome Day in 2012 to promote understanding and inclusivity for those with physical and mental development progresses at a slower pace.

Sahil Chawla, a sixth-semester B.Voc (Data Science) student and NSS Volunteer from ACFA shined in the 7-day National Integration Camp at Berhampur University, Odisha.

Selected among top five students from Punjab, he showcased his talent in Solo Dance Competition, securing third position. Representing Punjab, Sahil and his fellow students exhibited the state’s rich cultural heritage.

The camp was organized under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and sponsored by Odisha Government's Higher Education Department and Punjab State NSS Cell. It saw participation of approximately 250 NSS volunteers from across India.

A three-day Art exhibition, "Contemplation: A Journey Within - Rebooting Punjab," was organised to mark the golden jubilee of Apeejay College of Fine Arts – which comes under the aegis of Apeejay Education. It was a collaborative effort of Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Apeejay Education, and Dr. Stya Paul Art Gallery, Virsa Vihar.

The event was inaugurated by Sh. Arun Sekhri, IAS, Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the artists for their remarkable contributions and emphasized the importance of such exhibitions in promoting art and culture.

Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education, Jalandhar, and Dr. Stya Paul Art Gallery, felicitated Mr. Swaranjit Singh Savi, President of Punjab Arts Council, Chandigarh and Mr. Gurdeep Dhimaan, President of Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi. Also lauded for their respective roles in promoting art & culture were Mr. Sumit Dua, Vice President of Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Mr. Basudev Biswas, Executive Member, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Mr. Sangat Ram, Vice President of Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Secretary of Virsa Vihar, Jalandhar, and Mr. Jaspal Kamna, Secretary, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi.

Dr. Sucharita Sharma highlighted that the vision of Dr. Stya Paul, the founder of Apeejay Education, was to make fine arts accessible to all. She reaffirmed that under the leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, this vision was dynamically being taken forward. She also expressed gratitude to Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi and all participating artists.

The exhibition featured 44 artworks by 22 distinguished artists of Punjab, including paintings, sculptures, photography, drawings, and digital art. As part of the event, an inter-college painting competition was also held.

The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, showcased their exceptional talent and creativity at Brainstorm, an inter-college competition organized by KMV College and bagged the Overall Championship Trophy.

In the competition, Sukhanjot Singh Sohal won first place in the Poem Recitation category. Urvashi and Vansh secured first place in Wealth Out of Waste for their innovative approach to recycling. Grace Arora and Shivanshi Gupta earned second place in Epic Wall, demonstrating their artistic prowess. The choreography team, consisting of Komal, Arshpreet, Priyanshi, Param, Kunwar, Gurman, Nitika, Naina, Bhumika, and Gagan, secured second place for their outstanding performance.

In the Ad mad Show, Anhad Singh, Amani Mahendru, Jaskaran Singh, Shrestha Suri, Varun, Vishnu Bhargav, and Kabir Wadhwa claimed second place with their creative advertising concept. Shrestha, Vishnu, and Varun earned third place in Aapki Adalat, showcasing their strong argumentative skills. Lakshita Mittal and Sukhmanpreet Kaur secured third place in Logoli for their impressive logo design. Jasmeet Kaur won third place in Brush Rush with her exceptional painting skills.

Jaskirat Kaur achieved the prestigious first position in the university with 180 grade points and an SGPA of 9.00. Following closely, Palak secured the second position in the university with 174 grade points and an SGPA of 8.70. Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, announced the Golden Jubilee Celebrations & the 6th Rajeshwari Kala Mahotsav. It all commenced with a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine blessings for the upcoming Golden Jubilee Celebrations and the 6th Rajeshwari Kala Mahotsav, scheduled from April 2nd to April 5th, 2025.

A key attraction will be exclusive Art and Craft workshops showcasing India’s rich artistic traditions. Participants will have the rare opportunity to engage in age-old art forms, including Warli art, Gond art, Miniature painting, Madhubani painting, Pipli, Pottery, Terracotta sculptures, Phulkari, Block printing, and Wood Inlay work. Adding to the festivities, competitions in Classical Music and Dance will be organized. Another major highlight will be the Inter-State Craft Mela, where artisans from across India, including Odisha, West Bengal, and Banaras etc. will set up stalls displaying and selling regional handicrafts, apparel, and artwork.

Also, an evening of musical brilliance awaits the audience, featuring a live performance by Padma Shri awardee and celebrated folk singer Malini Awasthi, who will mesmerize attendees with her soulful renditions. For the first time in ACFA’s history, an exclusive Painting Exhibition will be held, with artworks available for sale. The proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to charity, reinforcing the college’s commitment to social causes.
