A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organised on the topic 'Mitigating Major Cyber ​​Threats' where Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Associate Professor in PG Department of Computer Science was present as the Resource person. The Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views on the significance of the said subject and discussed the need to become cautious and vigilant while using digital gadgets.

Dr Mago explained the situations in the cyber world in which one can become a victim and what are its dangers and also shared that if a person takes protective measures, they can prevent themselves from becoming the prey to cybercrime, for which the measures like antivirus, firewall, AI based encryption can be adapted in our gadgets. He also emphasized that if ever one accidentally becomes a victim of cybercrime, then one must pursue its solution and not just suffer in silence.

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the topic of 'Cyber Hygiene' was organised at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The keynote speaker for the event was Associate Professor Dr. Roopali Sood, Head of the Postgraduate Department of Computer Science.

The session elaborated on the importance of cyber hygiene, stating that the increasing use of various gadgets in our daily lives necessitates heightened vigilance. She explained common cyber threats, such as data breaches, digital arrest scams, trading and investment scams, romance and dating scams, and other forms of cyber fraud. She also recommended immediate action in case of cybercrime incidents by utilising the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre set up by the Government of India. The Principal encouraged organising similar Faculty Development Programmes on relevant and critical topics in the future.

The students of Department of Fashion & Textiles (Semester-IV) - Pragati, Tarandeep Kaur, Aadya Kalra and Kashvi Monga successfully completed a two-week project of designing stylish costumes for Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah for his music video titled 'Morni'. This musical video was shot in Jodhpur. These students did this styling under the guidance of Celebrity Costume Stylist Priyana Thapar, who is also an alumnus of Apeejay College. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the students for getting well sought project for it gives them the required exposure and prepares them for future.

A one-day faculty development programme was organised on 'Fashion the Stylish Killer' where Ms. Rajni Gupta, Head, Department of Fashion was the Resource Person. Ms. Gupta discussed on the topic 'Fashion the Stylish Killer' and stated that the Fashion industry is the second biggest industry that contributes to the pollution on this earth.

The Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her views regarding the significance of the topic said, “The way threat of pollution is constantly increasing, we need to adopt the seventeen goals given by UNO for sustainable development in our lives and for that we need to focus on producing responsibly, consume consciously and adopt sustainability in every aspect of our lives.”

We are glad to share that Ishaan Bagga, a seventh semester student of B-Design Multi-Media, has been selected as a Public Policy Intern under the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, established by the Punjab Government. This bureau is headed by the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, IAS.

Among 500 undergraduate applicants, only a few were selected for this prestigious opportunity and Ishaan Bagga is one of them. Under the guidance of Honorable Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Ishaan will contribute his talent, commitment, and creativity to projects related to the beautification and development of Jalandhar. The Principal congratulated Ishaan on his achievement and encouraged him to work diligently during this internship, emphasising that the experience will serve as a foundation for his future success.

Apeejay Stya Art Festival 2024 ‘Creative Cascades’ was organized at 'Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery', Mumbai from 2nd to 7th December 2024. The show was inaugurated on 2nd December 2024 by Hon’ble Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman Apeejay Stya and Svran Group in the presence of Mr. Nishant Berlia, Co-promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group. Also, the students and teachers of Apeejay Education and J.J. School of Art, Mumbai were present on this occasion.

Promotion of arts has always been a constant and continuous endeavour of Apeejay Education which it realises through its institutions primarily those which are specially dedicated to this noble cause viz Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Sohna, Gurugram, Haryana, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, Punjab and Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi.

In Apeejay Stya Art Festival 2024, Creative Cascades, creative works of the faculty and students of these Institutions were put on display. The first of its kind Art Exhibition celebrated a vibrant galaxy of art forms ranging from Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Tapestries, Terracottas, Mixed Media to Photography. Marked with innovations and originality of expressions, the works on display would provide a peep into the variegated messages conveyed by the artists in a subtle and creative Manner.

We are delighted to share that Harpratap Singh, a first year student of BA participated in 'Kheda Watan Punjab Diya' 2024 at state level and won silver medal in table tennis. This state level match was organised in Barnala on 27th November 2024. The Principal congratulated Harpratap Singh and encouraged him to continue his practice make his name in this field and make college and his parents proud of him.

We are delighted to share that Dr. Mohinder Kumar Mastana, Professor of Department of Sculpture of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar has been recently awarded with Punjab Pradesh Award in an exhibition organized by KT Kala (Kausa Trust, Amritsar).

This exhibition included painting, sculpture, photography, digital art from all over Punjab. It was inaugurated by Padam Shri Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University, Himachal Pradesh. The Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated him and encouraged him to keep up with the good work.

The play 'Master Ji' was successfully staged in the college with the joint courtesy of Jalandhar Skill Development Corporation and World Class Organisation. On this special occasion, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal (Honourable Deputy Commissioner) was present as the Chief Guest and Mr. Deepak Bali (Advisor for Art, Culture and Languages, Government of Delhi) was present as Guest of Honour. Dr. Sucharita Sharma (Director, Apeejay Education Jalandhar) and Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar) warmly welcomed all the guests. The play 'Masterji' written by Rana Ranbir and Jaswant Zafar has been staged 90 times in in India and abroad till date and had been staged for the 91st time at Apeejay College
