The college proudly bagged the Inter-zonal Youth festival championship trophy for the 24th time in row by scoring 155 points. The Youth Festival is organised each academic year by GNDU, Amritsar in order to provide a platform to the students to exhibit their talent and recognise their hidden talent.

With their exceptional and excellent performances, along with the Championship trophy, the college proudly won the Music, Literary, Fine Arts, Theatre and Folk trophies as well. The Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the students for their hard work and effort.

ACFA celebrated the birthday of Madam Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group; Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University with much enthusiasm. In her message, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia made all the students and teachers take an oath to try bringing a smile on the face of at least five people in our daily life, express gratitude to five people and help at least one person daily and learn from our past and work hard day and night to build our happy future, by creating a path for our own development and at the same time contributing to the development of others.

On this occasion, students of Department of Music sang the soulful bhajans and prayed for Madam's long and healthy life. The Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views said that Mrs. Berlia is not just a successful entrepreneur, a visionary educationist, a personality full of positive energy, but she is also a living embodiment of self-confidence and humility. She is an excellent leader who has always been a pioneer in contributing to the development of others.

The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar excel in academic and cultural activities and at the same time remains at forefront in sports as well. Ribhav Sharma, a student of BBA (Semester-V) and Akshat Sharma, a student of B. Com. (Semester-III) participated in the inter-college lawn tennis competition organised by Guru Nanak Dev University and secured the Second position.

A five-day workshop on 'Business Intelligence' was organised by MAC FORUM of PG Department of Commerce with the courtesy of IIM Kolkata. Certified corporate trainer from IIM Kolkata, Mr. Azib was present as the resource speaker in this workshop, who has to his credit many certifications from reputed IT companies like Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

In these 5 days, Mr. Azib discussed various topics related to Business such as Understanding Business Intelligence, Business Intelligence Applications and its Framework, Data Basis and other related topics. At the end of the workshop, he also made students prepare models. The students actively participated in this workshop and shared their experiences and said that such workshops should continue to be organised in future too so that they remain connected with the latest topics related to Business Intelligence.

The Department of Design, Fine Arts and Fashion Makeover collaboratively organised Diwali Mela. Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar was present as the Chief Guest on this occasion. Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, ACFA) warmly welcomed Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal and Dr. Sucharita Sharma (Director, Apeejay Education). In the Diwali fair, the students had set-up designer furniture, wood crafts, decorative products, photo booths, paintings, frames, nail art, artificial jewellery, cushion covers, block printing kurtas and dupattas, wax candles and various types of food stalls. The students and teachers of the college enjoyed a lot at Diwali fair.

The students of ACFA participate in Youth Festival every year which is conducted at and by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in order to give a platform to the students to encourage their skills and participation in extracurricular activities. In the third-day C - Zone Youth Festival held from 24th to 26th October 2024, ACFA participated in total 36 items and won the covetous top 3 prizes in different items. ACFA scored 169 marks and won the Championship trophy and created history while maintaining its legacy. The Principal congratulated everyone on this remarkable feat.

The Department of Multimedia of ACFA went on a 7-day trip to Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan. The students during this excursion, learned about the history, culture and lifestyle of these cities. They were enthusiastic to visit the historical forts and witness the architectural marvels.

With the joint efforts of the Department of Fashion Makeover and NSS Wing, a grand event 'Shri', the festival of Karva was organised in the college. Students from different Departments setup as many as 30 stalls which included mehndi stalls, nail art, accessories, decorated thalis, pooja thalis, designer clothes, silver jewellery, food stalls etc. The mehndi and nail art stalls were most visited by students as well as teachers. The food stalls were also the center of attraction for everyone.

We are glad to share that our student Rahul Bagga of BA (Semester – V) won the gold medal in Hammer Throw competition. The competition was organised at District level by Punjab Government in 'Kheda Watan Punjab Diya' at Sports College, Jalandhar. The Principal congratulated Rahul Bagga and encouraged him to keep practicing like this so that he can win national level competitions as well.

Tanisha Arora, a fourth-semester student of B. Voc. Data bagged the First position in the final exams conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. Ekam secured the Second position, while Aarush obtained the Third position. The Principal congratulated all three students, encouraging them to continue their hard work.
