Jalandhar, August 27, 2019: On the second day of the Punjab Natya Mahotasava – a Theatre Festival was organised in collaboration with the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (NZCC) at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The artists of young Malang Theatre Welfare Society, Amritsar, enacted a play ‘Total Syapaa’ directed and written by Sh. Sajan Kapoor.
The play narrated a saga of love conflicts between 3 characters in primary roles –singer, writer and actor by profession – who fell in love with the same girl. Invoking humour & satire under the lines, the play spreads the message that love marriages in society should not be seen as something to be opposed and with the right stand & guidance, these relationships could work successfully.

The other artists in secondary roles were Robin Kaur Pal, Sahil Chopra, Shivam Dutta, Robin Singh, Neha Sharma, Harleen Singh, Vishal Khanna and Ajit Singh.
On the second day of this mega Theatre Festival, Mrs Santosh Rishi presided over the function as the Chief Guest. College Principal, Dr Sucharita Sharma, welcomed her with a fresh bunch of flowers and put forth that it is privilege to have art lovers such as Mrs Santosh Rishi in the College from whom our students get inspired. She also added that our students have achieved and worked in the field of Arts with pure dedication and hard work. Such Mega festivals undoubtedly add much to their knowledge, experience and even pave them the right path.
She congratulated the artists for enacting and representing such a powerful message through the medium of a play in the liveliest manner.
