Jalandhar, August 6, 2021: The Design Department of Apeejay College of Fine Arts is doing wonders in guiding its students to develop their creative skills. Harshita Chawla of B.Design (Fashion Design) won the first prize in various creative competitions at the National level. Some other students too from the same department got the best positions in these competitions. Harshita Chawla got the first position in the ‘Best out of Waste’ competition at the National level, a part of Summer Fiesta 2021 organised by Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamuna Nagar. In the Sketching competition, Harshita Chawla stood first and Jyoti got the 3rd position. In another National level competition, ‘Innovative Product Development’, organised by DAV College for Women, Yamuna Nagar, Harshita Chawla got the 1st position, Ria Arora got the 3rd position. Harshita again grabbed the 1st position, Ria Arora stood 3rd and Kavya Singla got consolation award in the ‘Best out of Waste’ competition organised by KMV, Jalandhar.
Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the prize winners and wished them every success in the future for such competitions. She encouraged them to perform wholeheartedly in such creative activities. She also appreciated the efforts of Ms. Rajni Gupta in guiding and encouraging the students to be a part of such competitions to show their creative talent.
