Competitions at ACFA under Skill India Mission

Jalandhar, Aug 4, 2021: Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, under the mission of Skill India, Government of Punjab, organised various competitions to enhance the skills of youngsters. Near about 50 students from various parts of Punjab participated.

Appreciating the efforts of the skill development mission, College Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra said that such competitions inculcate self-confidence among youngsters which helps them realise their skills. The judges for the competitions of Painting and Decoration were Mr. Rakesh Bhardwaj, retired HOD, Meher Chand Technical Institute, Jalandhar, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Senior Teacher, Government Sr. Sec. School for Girls, Nehru Garden School, Jalandhar, and Mr Anil Gupta, Head-Department of Applied Arts, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.

Judges for Cloud Computing were Sh. Naveen Joshi, Assistant Professor and Head-Department of Computer Science, Doaba College Jalandhar, Mr Vishal Sharma, Associate Professor, DAV College, Jalandhar, and Mr Rohit Chawla, Assistant Professor, ACFA, Jalandhar.

Judges for Visual merchandising were Mrs. Nimisha Kapoor, Head Designer and owner Pink Parrots by NIAA, Sh. Rajesh Kalsi, Associate Professor of Design Department, ACFA and Jaspreet Kaur, Principal Interior Designer, Manzil Design, Jalandhar. There were 26 participants in painting and decorating, 15 participants in visual merchandising, and 8 in Cloud Computing.

Principal, Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated the organiSers for the successful culmination of the event and appreciated the efforts put in by Mr Anil Gupta, Mrs. Rajni Gupta, and Dr. Gagan Gambhir.
