Jalandhar, Sep 3, 2021: To mark the beginning of the new session 2021-22 at Apeejay College of Fine Arts and to seek blessings of the Almighty, a Hawan Ceremony was performed amidst enchanting of mantras and yagna of holy fire. College Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, and all faculty members along with old students and the new entrants participated in this Hawan Ceremony - an annual feature. Dr. Neerja not only welcomed the students in the new session but also encouraged them to pray for the social and economic welfare of their nation. In her address to the newcomers, she mentioned the critical situation our society has been facing due to Covid-19. She encouraged them with her inspiring speech to struggle with the situation and get over the deadly pandemic. She asked them to maintain their health by taking vaccination and contribute to the progress of society.
She once again reminded the students of taking all precautions while attending their college. She further encouraged the students to be aware of their responsibilities and moral duties towards the nation and society. At the same time, their main aim during their stay on the campus is to get academic excellence and preserve our values.
On this occasion, under the guidance of Dr. Amita Mishra, Dr. Vivek Verma and his team recited a musical prayer. After the Hawan Ceremony, an orientation program was organised for all the new entrants. Dr. Monica Mogla, Dr. Manisha Sharma extended required guidelines for commerce students Ms. Rajni Gupta and Dr. Gagan Gambhir for Design department students, and Dr. Sunit Kaur and Ms. Supreet S J Talwar for Arts & Social Sciences students. The main aim of this orientation program was to make students aware of the rules regulations of the Institution and about the guidelines for their welfare in this present Covid situation.
