Jalandhar, Jan. 2018: The Student Welfare Association (SWA) of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, celebrated the festival of Lohri in a unique way with the kids of an orphanage in Jalandhar. The College students spread smiles on the lovely faces of young buds living in the orphanage. The SWA of the College provided full support by distributing track suits, sweets, caps, peanuts, etc. to the kids. Students gave a melodious flavour to the event by singing songs for the young children and also played some fun-games with them. The College faculty and students along with the College Principal celebrated this auspicious occasion in the College premises with full gusto and zeal.
College Principal, Dr. Sucharita, congratulated everyone on this event and said that the College celebrates such festivals with the kids of the orphanage who are deprived of a fortunate lifestyle and this also teaches a lesson to the students to contribute their best to the society. She hoped that the bonfire of Lohri would burn the evils prevalent in society.
