Impact Factor: 1.125
The impact factor is based on citation count. Google is openly available database suitable for journal metric calculation. It has a wide coverage and is a meaningful source. Apeejay Journal of Computer Science and Applications is calculating its Impact Factor based on citation counts. Scientists are used to Thomson Reuters' way of calculating an impact factor. For this reason, this journal applies Thomson Reuters'(TR) algorithm as published on http://wokinfo.com/essays/impact-factor.
This algorithm is not protected and can be used by anyone. This journal calculates its 2-year Journal Impact Factor (2-JIF) as follows. With respect to all articles from this journal for the respective year: A = Total cites in 2014 = 19 B = 2014 cites to articles published in 2012 - 2013 = 9 (this is a subset of A) C = Number of articles published in 2012 - 2013 = 8 2-JIF for 2014 = D = B/C = 9/8 = 1.125 (TR algorithm, Google citations, data January 2015)
JIF has never a fixed value. Depending on individual activities on the Internet (self-archiving and Green Open Access), some articles published Closed Access in one year may appear online only months or even years later. This has an influence on citation count and makes it necessary to state the 2-JIF for a given year always with the date the data was retrieved from Google.

The present issue of Ambrosia being launched by the English department of Apeejay College of Fine Arts. Jalandhar is yet another endeavour by the Department to promote literature with a research temper. True to its name , Ambrosia would provide first rate reading to the literary enthusiasts and leave a lasting imprint on the minds of readers. The first volume of Ambrosia marks the beginning of a positive and sustaining relationship with the readers. It carries the choicest papers from the proceedings of the significant and signal UGC Sponsored National Seminar , Building a Play, organized in the college on March 4 and 5 , presided over by the doyen of the theatre Mahesh Dattani himself . The illuminating views of the maestro Dattani would be published in the issue as also in the subsequent issues. The maiden issue is dedicated to the genre of theatre and all the papers which have been received from across the country are drama – oriented. My heartiest gratitude to the team of erudite scholars and academia who have reviewed the papers meticulously and selected them to be incorporated in the issue.
The Journal ‘Descriptio’ by Department of Design (Interiors) is a sincere effort by the faculty of the department for promoting Sustainable Architecture. The researchers, architects and professionals from all over the country have come forward and shared their intellectual concepts.
